Artist Bio
Both born in '96, Lorenzo and Federico live in North Italy (Lorenzo in Poggio Rusco, a small town in Mantua's province – Lombardia, while Federico in Mirandola, a town in Modena's province – Emilia-Romagna).
WAMI started making music together professionally four years ago. In the early stages of their career, WAMI has already achieved their short-term goals as small and independent artists. They started their career releasing music on labels like 2-Dutch and Hinky/Strange Fruits, receiving support by some of the biggest names in the EDM scene, like Nicky Romero, Klingande, Brooks, Showtek, just to name a few. Disappointed by their experiences with labels, they decided to go fully independent. As independent artists, they have been featured on a few of the biggest editorial playlists on Spotify, such as “New Music Friday” (the global main one and the Italian one) "relax" and more with their track "Life Is Good", written and sung by Julia Shuren.
WAMI is a dream team of production, mixing and mastering. Lorenzo is the mix and mastering guy (playing also the keyboards) and uses Logic Pro X, Federico is the sound design guy and uses Ableton Live. Both having different tasks and interests but sharing the same musical vision – creating tracks that immerse you in your feels. Their influences are slightly different. Lorenzo is influenced by deadmau5, Avicii, Alesso, Ben Böhmer and Disclosure in the EDM scene and Tom Misch, Alicia Keys and FINNEAS for more "sophisticated" commercial music, while Federico is obsessed with Porter Robinson and Madeon – but both are in love with Anomalie.

Today is a very special day for us: our latest track "Lost Sometimes", written and sung by Canadian super talented Julia Shuren, is out now – featured in "New Music Friday Italy".
"We’re told that the best years of our lives are throughout our 20’s and 30’s. Lost Sometimes sheds some light on the reality of it – which is, a lot of feeling lost, frustrated, jealous, and figuring out what "success" means. With the pressures of society and social media constantly comparing our successes and happiness to others, it’s easy to feel discouraged and depressed. The song is a reminder to those struggling, that it’s okay to feel this way; although it may not feel like it, "it’s going to be alright”. This song encourages breaking the stigma of having our sh*t together 24/7" said Julia, who wrote the lyrics of the track, a super catchy pop track strongly influenced by Jazz, R&B, Soul and Electronica.
