Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I am a small town rapper/songwriter who is really just in this business for the fun of it. I try to take my comedic personality and implement it into my music, I am not the best sounding on the microphone so I try to put real work into the lyrics that I am saying. All of my music is focused on not taking myself too seriously for 2 singles (making something to giggle at and vibe with) and then releasing a serious song. I do not know what direction I am going to move with my music but one thing I am absolutely certain of is I show no signs of stopping anytime soon.

With my first ever track being a complete joke my girlfriend did not approve and one month later, I look back on it as more childish. I would not create that style of egotistical sexual childish rambling on a microphone. I want to focus on making singles that absolutely slam on the headphones of the user, things that are nice to listen to.

My second track was a lot better, I got rid of the egotistical persona and moved into more vibing music with a catchy hook, lyrics worth sticking around for, and my favorite part starting at around 1:26. I am honestly proud of this and my girlfriend considers it my best work.

My third track was certainly the most serious one so far, with me writing a love song it was weird. Not because I am not a loving person as my girlfriend is my most important life piece, but because I had never recorded anything serious before. Although I loved it and I will definitely be continuing to make music like this

All of that being said I have no plans on stopping my type and style of music as I find it fun to make and to share with friends.

I use my own photos taken with a 4k camera of my girlfriend, and me as the stars. This will not forever be the norm but I do feel it definitely adds a nice aesthetic to my page and I will continue to make my music appealing in that way.

All of that being said I am very excited to continue my music and in general, sharing my content with the world.

What I really want…
To be able to support my girlfriend. I am not talking making millions and being able to buy a big house and expensive cars. Yet to be able to buy her food, pay rent in this cute little cabin we want close enough to my mother that we can go over for dinner. Now I don't know what goals you are looking for but I am not going to lie to you. If you are just looking for people that are chasing clout I might not be the man for the amazing pages you guys have, but, if you want the honest truth I just want to make music and get it heard. I want people to believe in me and at the same time be able to go to college. I want to reach my goal of being financially stable while being happy at the same time.

What is your greatest source of inspiration?
Definetly my girlfriend because if it wasn't for the dream of being able to give her the world I would not be doing this. As for my music taste the comedic songs come from mainly old school Eminem, Dbangz, and Pink Guy. And for my more serious music, Oliver Tree, Cavetown, and and Joji. (Joji because he puts the belief in my mind that no matter what you put out you should just do what you enjoy and you'll find success)

How have your life experiences influenced your music?
I have been through it all, drug addiction, overcame that, homelessness sleeping in my car, and couch surfing. Selling dope to try and pay for fast food. I have been through very difficult relationships, overcame it. I have struggled with police more than anything with my first arrest at 14 for having illegal narcotics on a school campus and my second one just weeks later. Somehow I have managed to come out of it a lite stoner with no permanent record, I am happy with the love of my life and making art I enjoy. I have been through the pains of suicide to the point where I have all kinds of scars, I would love to share each insane story behind them but I do not have the time right now. It's been a rollercoaster but I feel as if right now I have come out on top.

How can fans learn more about you?
I have a Twitter (@StarriMusic) and a business email (starricontac…) I, of course, have my Soundcloud (soundcloud.c…) and in 2-3 days I will have a Spotify, Apple Music, and a bunch of other places to find it. I have an Instagram which is not based on my music and therefore I will not include it until I have it more professional or a new one as it is strictly personal and private at the moment. If you want to see more of my life you can drop me a follow and I will return the same (@balake_swag)
