Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Daniel Matthew Mendoza, I am 18 years old and I am from Los Angeles, California. I make a blend of Rock (Pop-Punk, Indie-Alt, Emotional) & Trap (Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B). I grew up listening to blink-182 and 2pac and similar artists. When I heard Aerosmith & Run DMC's collaboration "Walk This Way" I knew that's what I wanted to do with my music on a larger scale with more of a blend rather than back and forth. I want to actually stand for something, use my music to inspire others as other artists have done for me and use my voice to tackle problems in modern society not just be someone you hear on the radio 4 or 5 times a day.
What I really want…
I aim to create 2000s pop-punk angst, misery, and rebel energy to a new generation of music listeners. Everyone needs an emotional outlet so I want to create something for everyone who needs guidance, someone to relate to, or forget about their problems in the modern world. Just like Kid Cudi saved a generation I want to do the same as vaping & suicide in young adults increases I want to relive them of the tension they have built the same way blink-182 did for me. In conclusion, my music will serve as a therapy session for people who need an escape, A getaway for people who want to have fun, and a place to vibe when you're in your bedroom all alone.

How have your life experiences influenced your music?
Where to begin. The main experience would be "Love" obviously that's where to start, from Ne-yo to Britney Spears, it's what's always trending. And we've all mostly had a falling out so "Heartbreak" is another talking point. Growing up in the lower class I've seen things and heard things that have shaped me to be better person than who I grew up around and where I grew up around so "Perseverance and Motivation" are a big part of who I am, I never give up. English class teachers always claimed me to be their favorite writers, and coming from a Medical Magnet High School that empowered me. I think finally being 18 and having freedom has inspired me as well to try new things and connect with people so I think "Hope, Freedom, and Social Love" inspire my sound as well.
I take my music seriously and although I do not have a full set up or the best equipment I work everyday to improve as music is more than a passion, for me It's a lifestyle.
