Can you tell us a little about yourself?
As a producer artist DJ-SLT-UK believes in not following the current trends but bring back genres of music that the last few generations have missed due to the flood of the same sounding styles of today. Under his label MUSIK HOUSE STUDIOS melody content is critical and creating fresh melodies is bit of a lost art considering most songs these days have very little substance. This alone inspires other artists who hear his music to go a little deeper in their own crafting of songs and that alone also inspires DJ-SLT-UK to keep creating daily
What I really want…
To be able to setup a (major label funded) recording studio and rehearsal space where we can coach/produce/A&R local Australian talent and also give others the chance to record songs at a very low price or free to assist others who have the passion to create music but cant get the songs from pen and paper into sound or who cant afford the money involved in the business side of the music industry upfront.
How has COVID affected your life as a musical artist?
Having not worked for 8 months has actually improved my music craft and overall flow in song design, i can now from start to finish create/mix/upload a song in under 1hr as i have my giant book of melodies that im slowly getting thru and have found key set ways in the process of which instrument is layed down on a song in order which actually speeds up the arrangement process. Now the songs tell me when the songs finished not me cutting the song down for radio edits.
