Last month Spotify announced their Music Promotion-19 Music Relief Project in an effort to raise funds for organizations who are helping musicians during the current pandemic and social distancing measures. Along with that, Spotify also announced a function they were developing that would allow artists to create fundraising of their own. This would enable fans to pay artists directly and support them at a time when musicians are unable to earn revenue from playing live.
Today, Spotify announced the launch of Artist Fundraising Pick. We’re here to provide you an inside look at how it SoundCloud reposts.
Before we go any further, you’ll want Soundcloud promotion real to make sure you have claimed your artist page on Spotify. If you have not done that, check out the article on our Help Center for instructions on how.
How do I add a Fundraising Pick to my artist profile?
Okay, now that your artist profile is claimed, how do you add the fundraising link? Spotify outlined the process in the steps below:
You can add a fundraising link to your artist profile in Spotify for Artists. For Fundraising Pick best practices, check out our blog.
Note: Only Admin team members can add a Fundraising Pick. A Fundraising Pick doesn’t replace your Artist’s Pick.
- Log in to Spotify for Artists on the web.
- Go to Home.
- Click Get started in the banner at the top.
- Fill in the Music Promotion-19 support form and click SUBMIT.
Some things to keep in mind
- You can’t change fundraising links once added.
- Spotify doesn’t take a cut of the money.
- Fundraising links must be through approved partners. Find the most up-to-date list of partners in the support form or our best practices blog post.

And that’s it! Once your fundraiser of choice is submitted it will show on your artist page and your fans can pay you however much they want Soundcloud promotion real! And since the link is outside of Spotify, they won’t take any commission from what’s donated.
