Who are you?

I am an artist who defies all labels by choosing not to limit my music to a specific genre. Artists who inspire me symbolize experimentation and rebellion against societal norms. (Grimes, Rico Nasty, and Ashnikko to name a few) My mission is to create music which can also inspire listeners to conquer the pressures to fit in by remaining authentic to themselves. I hope each of my songs can give strength to my audience. Music is what continues to motivate me to to never give up and so I hope to send the same vibes forward.

Where are you from?

Born in the USA to immigrant parents and raised in Tampa, Florida – I began songwriting at the age of 9 as a way to cope with my challenging upbringing. There was a heavy cultural clash between the conservative West Caribbean heritage passed down and the expressively artistic forms of American culture which I better resonate with.
The Tampa music scene is filled with talented producers, and budding hip-hop artists. Due to how I was raised, I didn't have much exposure to the hiphop scene. Instead, I grew up listening to punk pop in secret, filling notebooks with song lyrics to melodies I created with no equipment.
Ironically, it wasn't until I relocated to Seoul, South Korea where Western Hip-Hop has become a highly influential subculture – that I was encouraged to explore rap and hiphop in my music. Thus creating a unique staple in my work – incorporating rhyme into melodic synth beats – I can create a cross-cultural auditory experience intertwining my second language (Korean) with my English lyrics.
