Interview: Lil Rock05
“Lil Rock05 is 21 year old artist bringing heat to the hip hop game. Yet, Lil Rock05 is not signed to any label but, his skills are amazing. He doesn't just rap, he can produce beats, shoot videos and much more. As Lil Rock started out his music, he got help from a group known as U.B.E.(United Boyz Entertainment) and they help contribute music with Lil Rock. Lil Rock dropped his first mixtape (05 The Mixtape) when he was 16 yrs old and from there he pushed forward to the music industry.”
Where are you from and what is the music scene like?
Lil Rock05 is from Indianapolis IN. The music coming from Indy locals are inspiring and amazing but the only thing that lacks from Indy artists is the recognition. Even tho you Indianapolis is in the middle of the Midwest States only others around like Detriot, Chicago and Cleveland are the most recognized Cities. Plus, another thing is some of the Indy artists themselves get a little too arrogant about their music. All in all every Indy artists have their own style in music.

How have your life experiences influenced your music?
Being born and raised from the Westside of Indianapolis was very tough for Lil Rock05. He has seen a lot in his life. At the age of 4 Lil Rock05 have seen a man die before his eyes getting shot.By the age 9 Lil Rock05 was always suspended for getting into fights with other kids in school for bullying. By the age of 11 he started smoking weed. By the age of 13 he became more into the streets hanging around the wrong crowd. When Lil Rock05 turn 14, he start rapping and from there on out he wanted to expanded his music.
