Tell us something about you that fans should know:
KOMET RAIN is a BravePop band based in Oslo and London.
Thea, the leader, created the term BravePop many years ago as it meant that no labels were needed, and it fit us as a whole group perfectly since we all come from such different backgrounds!
KOMET RAIN is inspired by big artists such as Nick Cave, Chet Baker, M.I.A and BLACKPINK, creating a delicious blend of modern pop vibes mixed with a hint of vintage feels.
We always aim to put on a show with a lot of sass and emotions to create an unforgettable atmosphere. We are brave and bold, and we have just started our journey towards the top.
Where are you from and what’s the music scene like there?
We in KOMET RAIN come from the extreme opposites of Europe, and met as students at the music university BIMM London where we shared classes live music performance.
Thea (Bandleader + vocalist ) come from the icy north above the polar circle in the northernmost part of Norway.
Leo (Vocalist )is from the tropical Island of Madeira and Vetle (guitarist) is from the olympic city of Lillehammer in Norway. Together we get inspired from our roots and mix it with modern pop music, which means the influence covers a vast variety, yet still keeps within our own sound!
As the music scene in all of our hometowns are quite small and limited in terms of live music, London became one of the first places for us to explore what it was like to constantly be in a music environment, and it was the most amazing thing!
We learned a lot, and got some friends for life (in all creative arts) as well as the opportunity to really try to explore our own style. London gave us that. – Thea.
