Tell us all about this new track of yours!
On Options I went for a banger. I used a trap beat with a violin sample and personally I think it slaps. It may not be the most "woke" of all my songs, but I love it and I think you will too.
Who would you most like to collaborate with?
MF DOOM. If they have to be alive, then Tech N9ne.
Where are you from and what is the music scene like?
I was born and raised in the Bay Area, I only recently moved to Missouri. Growing up in the Bay I was subject to a melting pot of cultures, and as many kinds of music as you could imagine. But the music that really stuck to me was Rap. From the local legend Mac Dre, to Eminem, to Tribe Called Quest, I saw that rappers could make music about whatever they wanted to say, and I loved that.
How have your life experiences influenced your music?
I grew up very self conscious, and socially awkward because of it. I didnt have clothes that were as nice as alot of the kids at my school, I didnt know how to talk to girls, and I was always overweight and that hurt my self image. But I saw how rappers didn't need to change who they were to be accepted. I saw weirdos and misfits doing what they loved and people loving them because they were good at it, and I wanted that. I saw how rappers and musicians can spill their mind onto a page and share that with people, and have been attempting to do so ever since.
