Tell us all about this new track of yours!
New Year was written about a year ago in 2019, and was me reflecting in the year I had before that. But I really didn’t know that it would end up reflecting on 2020. I felt appropriate to drop it in 2021 because I know people who felt the same

Where are you from and what is the music scene like?
I’m from New Jersey, but I moved to NC when I was 10. Raised in Concord, NC. I was a metal head for the longest time but I was always listening to people like Drake, Lil Wayne, G-Unit, Twista and others like that. I also liked to people like Neo and Omarion. I moved to a small town called Sylva when I was 18. That’s when life hit me. I started listening to people like Lil Durk, Chief Kief, polo G.
How have your life experiences influenced your music?
It’s hard to put a lot of my pain on paper. But that’s where my music stems from. My pain, my depression, what I’ve done, what I’ve been through. I was truely around gangs and shit when I was young young and that carried in to my teen years but like into high school I really wasn’t trying to do all that gang shit. I was trying to be a high schooler. When I graduated and went to college, I was just trying to survive at that point. I’m no banger, just trying to eat
Which character in your favorite movie do you most identify with? Why?
My favorite movie is The Outsiders specifically because my man Pony Boy didn’t even kill bro but he was on the run wit his mans and stayed solid.
