Artist Name: ilycoex

New Song/Release Title: REMEDY

Tell us something about you:
Honestly, I would describe myself as a real artist. When I say "real artist" I don't mean that I am a professional artist. I'm referring to my lyrics and what I am trying to tell the listeners of my work. I feel like rap today is all the same to be honest. Many people try and be the next Drake or Lil Peep or even XXXTENTACION. What I am trying to be is the first me. I don't want to copy other artists in the music game. I wanna be the first original COEX. People try and gain success of other musicians theme and style of music and one of two things will happen. Either they make it and blow up for a month or so and will be forgotten or in many cases won't have any listeners to their music because they know that the artist is trying to copy and rip off another artist.

I'm from Annandale New Jersey in Hunterdon County. The music scene is really bland in my area and the only person that blew up around me is Skinnyfromthe9.. I've had the pleasure of working with a friend of Matt OX's "OX Flacko". Currently I have a four song EP with him called "TRIP TAPE" with all songs produced by "Number.48" who works with comedian rapper

I was born in 2001 and a lot of history in the music scene happened in that time frame. Prince was still alive as well as Michael Jackson, Marilyn Manson had started to become the face of rock. EMINEM started blowing up as well, and even rappers like Lil Wayne and Drake were on the rise. My main inspiration for my music is Marilyn Manson, $UICIDEBOY$, City-Morgue, and even Hella-Sketchy who passed away recently. I love a lot of genres of music and love working on all types of projects whether it is a Metal type song or a Philly rap type song or even Koi/Emo rap which I have made recently. I have loved music ever since I was 3 and it has always been my main factor in my life. it has helped me with my depression, anxiety, PTSD, and even my addiction. I pray that I will impact at least one person with my music. If music can impact my life dramatically, it can definitely help others with their demons as well.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Travis Barker
