I am called Dr Craigaluv because my artistry and songwriting is a medium of healing. Just as a medical doctor would do, I provide a prescription as per the patient's need. One outstanding factor is the uniqueness of my voice and crisp clear vocal reproduction rooted from pop and r&b.
Where are you from and what’s the music scene like there?
I am from Johannesburg, South Africa, where a party is best described with a dose of dance music. The Afrohouse music niche is more relatable to the audience as it encompasses the traditional rhythm and drum of the African sounds.
How have your life experiences influenced your music?
I have realised that too many souls are lost to internal forces and spirits because they hardly have someone who would soothe their emotional scars. I am very blessed to have had God's intervention whenever I was at my weakest, and it is through His wisdom and power that I am able to overcome every challenge I face.
I then took it upon myself to pass on this grace by using the same blessing of singing and writing. Yes, music is fun but most importantly it is healing.
