“Paul Roland Anderson (Young Leaf) is a well known rap lyricist, audio engineer, and producer. Young Leaf was born on December 5th, 1998 and grew up in East Hampton N.Y. but it wasn't always sunny days and bright colors for Young Leaf for you see, He grew up with a dysfunctional and abusive family. When Young Leaf was in school, he was picked on constantly to the point where he had to beat kids up to shut them up and this was in the early 2000's were talking here. When Young Leaf got into high school, it gotten worse. He was this time discriminated, segregated, protested and demonstrated against, raped, sexually assaulted, falsely accused by police, racial profiled, sexism. etc. Young Leaf began his career in 2010 when he started to do little rap battles with his friends but beforehand when he was really young, he knew how to play the piano, the trombone, the guitar sing rap, etc. Plus in middle school he was an excellent graphic designer and wanted to be a graphic designer for SEGA however that dream just came true for you see, they are coming out with a new Sonic game and Young Leaf sent a character in 2013 and at first they declined it now they have accepted it. Then in 2014, Young Leaf started to rap and become an underground artist and everyone in his school made fun of his music. at the time he didn't have the equipment to record so he just used his laptop mic. in 2016, Young Leaf released Demons in My Head and it did somewhat well, in 2018-2019 Young Leaf is beginning to blow up with songs like Buick. TLG over Everything, Gone, Dime Store Rapper, Rap Star, Disney's Truth, etc. the lists goes on and on and those songs led him to a distribution deal with UnitedMasters/Interscope. Last Year was a massive success. Young Leaf just dropped Heaven vs Hell 2 months ago and it has 350M in 2 months and is now certified diamond”
If you could reach any goal in 2021, what would it be?
the one goal i would like to make this year is to actually make an album with Eminem himself. I just did a sampled collab with him and just did a remix of Drake's Do Not Disturb and we got a deal on the profits.
What is your greatest source of inspiration?
Eminem, Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, D12, Bad Meets Evil, Etc.
How have your life experiences influenced your music?
I was abused, neglected, bullied, discriminated, segregated, protested and demonstrated against, raped, falsely accused, sexually abused, sexually harassed, misused, mistreated, abandoned, etc. ive been through hell all my life and it influenced my music cause these life struggles keep me going and i'm intellectually disabled with Autsim Spectrum Disorder and ADHD and my music is all about my life and i tell stories about it and twist them and i diss the people who did me wrong.
