Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi, my name is Shalom Sardis, and I go by Yeshua. I am an independent artist out of mid-Missouri, and I am moving to LA in 2 weeks to pursue music full-time. I have been in music production for around 4 years now, and am self-taught in what I do. A few weeks ago I went through a series of unexpected seizures that almost cost me my life, and it sent me thru this incredible wake-up call. I have been working since I was 13, as my dad was in prison so I had to step up, and have always been an entrepreneur in different rights. I always had this dream of working up enough money thru freelance jobs to be able to fund a trip to LA so I could get a chance to be around the industry and possibly get my foot in the door, but I've always found myself back at the beginning when it comes to my savings. After the seizures, I realized that all I had done was chase petty jobs in hopes of following my dreams, but I had never stepped out and just followed my dreams. So, with $70 in my acct. I booked my $60 flight, and regardless of what I have to do, I'm gonna get this W. Even if I fail, I'll be closer than I was before!

How have your life experiences influenced your music?
my music has definitely changed over the course of the last couple of years. In many regards, I'm a drifter – from where I live, to how I live. I have been through plenty of low times in my life, from my dad getting locked up when I was 9 in a fucked up situation, to getting kicked out at 17, to my messy marriage and divorce at 19, and hitting my seizures at 20. But all those things are blips in comparison to the amazing experiences I have had on the other side of those things! I have found an amazing girlfriend who supports my entire passion, I am closer to my family than ever now, and I am more open-minded than I have been. It has made my music more fun and freeing to make.
