Recording Artist: Wiser Observer
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Wiser Observer’s music borders on the line of romanticising personal sadness with a preference on minimal beats. With major influences from Kendrick Lamar, Chance The Rapper, ScHoolboy Q, Black Vulcanite and Jean Jacques. A lot of concepts of his songs stem from personal experiences and relationships in his life. He self-produces many of his songs and his style falls between brag rap and conscious rap. Self-critique, heartbreak, and addiction are littered all over most of his work. In a world bombarded with “wannabe tough guys” and formulaic bangers, Wiser’s music appears to come from a genuine place making it engaging.
He had an interest in music since the age of ten to thirteen after hearing his first ever hip hop album; Eminem's "Encore". However he has only tried to pursue it as a career when he was about nineteen and had no idea what he wanted to do after high school.
If you could reach any goal in 2021, what would it be?

What is your greatest source of inspiration?
Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, Russ, Nasty C
How have your life experiences influenced your music?
As a lot of people have; I've come from a traumatic childhood. So over time what has unconsciously crept into my life is to move with as much honesty and good intentions as possible. In my personal experience, it's better to move through life stoically and calculated. So letting the outlet of the emotions being my music I think it makes the sonic path more vivid and intense.
