Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Born Joshua Andrew Esquivel in 1991, Tussla grew up in Oak Cliff, a neighborhood in Dallas, Texas. He became interested in music at an early age after listening to artists like Eminem, Ludacris, Z-ro. Tussla’s melodic sing-rap flow is both mellow and aggressive with blends of sounds coming from influential artists such as Drake, Kevin Gates, Chamillionaire, and Lil Wayne.
If you could reach any goal in 2021, what would it be?
My goal for 2021 is to release a new track every Friday for a total of 52 bangers this year!
What is your greatest source of inspiration?
Drake, Kevin Gates, Chamillionaire, and Lil Wayne.
How have your life experiences influenced your music?
I grew up watching my older cousins smoke weed and freestyle, when I turned 14 I joined in, fell in love, and never looked back
