Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Chansel *Chany*. I am from the Bronx, New york. I am 18 and currently in my first year of college at Kean University in New Jersey. Majoring in media and film studies. Aspiring to be a director as big a Tyler Perry one day and hope to be able to put my music in movies. I have been writing music since 12 years old and this year on Christmas day I started to record and I am excited to share my first song recorded and edited from my room mini studio.
If you could reach any goal in 2021, what would it be?
I would like to be happy! My goal is to be happy and Successful knowing I can express myself through my music and people are able to feel what I am saying and relate. Being successful and helping to provide for others just like they did for me in time of need is what I would love to do forever.
What is your greatest source of inspiration?
My Sister
How have your life experiences influenced your music?
My life experiences are the reason i have music! I have a lot of anger built up inside of me due to heartbreaks, mother issues, depression and moving to a whole different state for senior years and not really having anybody to talk to about it so i picked up a mic. Feeling sad about a relationship straight to the mic. As of going through depression right now a lot of my feelings and even when I'm happy goes directly on the track. Not having a relationship with my mother right now gives me things to say when i want to get it off my chest.
