Triller users can now make videos that feature your songs

CD Baby is excited to announce that your songs will now be delivered to Triller automatically. 

Social video plays a huge role in how artists brand themselves and build an audience, and we’re always looking for opportunities to help you expand your reach. Which is why we’ve added Triller to our list of partner platforms (at no additional cost to you).

If you’re already distributing with CD Baby, there’s no extra fee to get your older music onto a new platform like Triller. It’s included because we want to help you build a catalog of songs that works for you today, tomorrow, and for years to come. 

What is Triller?

Triller is a popular social video app, similar to TikTok, Instagram Reels, or Snapchat. Like those other services, Triller hosts an endless feed of funny skits, lip-syncs, user-generated music videos, dances, and short tutorials.

What makes Triller different from its short-form video competitors, though, is its auto-editing tool. Triller works as a kind of easy button for music video creation because it can automatically edit your footage to a background track using AI.

Users can add multiple clips, let the platform do its magic, make any necessary adjustments, and then publish a dynamic video quickly!

Who uses Triller?

Triller boasts more than 65 million active users. Many of them skew slightly older than the Gen Z demographic who’ve flocked to Triller’s competitor TikTok. In fact, co-creator Ryan Kavanaugh has called Triller the “adult version” of TikTok.

However, Triller has made significant moves to attract 18-21 year-olds. And with star creators like Cardi B and Chance the Rapper active on the platform, Triller is well positioned to become one of the go-to social apps for younger music fans.

Triller is currently most popular in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and France.

What do you have to do to get music on Triller? 

It’s pretty simple to put all your songs on Triller:

1. Distribute your music with CD Baby
2. Set your distribution preferences to include streaming platforms

That’s it!

Keep in mind that Triller is a new partner for us, so we’re still in the process of delivering a massive music catalog.
