Artist Bio
Joseph Cesar is a portuguese-born singer-songwriter living in Paris.He has been interested in music since his childhood. In his family, his father is a musician and this is undoubtedly his first influence. Very young, he listens to a little of everything: pop, rock and electronic music. Little by little, he built his musical culture.
He learned to play guitar on his own at age of 15 and listened mainly to alternative rock, grunge and punk rock during his high school years. He grew up in an english and american musical culture.
He released his first self-produced acoustic EP in 2013 entitled "Break Up The Walls". A year later, he will record his first album "The Other Side", officially released in October 2016.
It’s a rock and folk album written in English that describes a different vision of life and the world around us. In 2019 he released the single "Wasted Dreams" from his first album.
In 2018 he decided to change his musical orientation and wrote texts not only in english but also in portuguese and french.
In January of 2021, after a long difficult period he returned to the studio to record his second EP much more eclectic with pop and electro sounds. The first single from this second EP called "The Pain Of Love" will be released on October 29th and it’s a melodic and melancholy pop song.

My name is Joseph Cesar. I am a singer songwriter living in Paris. I'am also a portuguese teacher. I write songs in english but also in portuguese and french. My songs express a mixture and contrast of feelings about the world around us. This contrast is the reflection of my music. There is love, sadness, hope, anguish, fear, desire, revolt, indignation, freedom, lack and emptiness. He is always on the lookout for something new and different.
I'm influenced by a lot of music like rock,pop, folk and electro.
