Tell us something about you that fans should know:
I grew up between homes as a kid. One house fostered love and suffered poverty, while the other housed detachment and indulgence. I have seen my share of addiction issues, trauma, grief/death, relationship abuse, of both familial and social origin. These life events have grounded me as an individual in recognizing and developing my personal qualities/aspirations, whereby my pursuit with music serves as an outlet for growth.

Where are you from and what’s the music scene like there?
My name is Will Pike, I am 20 years old, and I'm a self-produced hip-hop/rap artist from St. John's, Newfoundland currently living in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
I spend most of my time studying for my BSc in Biology/Psychology, but I've been dedicating all of my free time towards developing as a musician. My father has been in the music production industry for decades, and I have learned much from him along the way. He was a bit withdrawn towards my interests however, so practically all that I have learned regarding hip-hop music has been that through self discovery.
I started doing hip-hop songs at 15 years old, two of which received nearly 1.5K streams each despite having little to no promotion but the word of mouth. I then took a hiatus to focus on my education after having gone through a rather devastating life-event.
Over the last two years, at around 18 years of age, I have been working on my music production skills in addition to studying for my degree. I only just recently took to writing music again after gaining encouragement from local artists that I am making instrumentals/beats for. Given having looked up to my father for the better-half of my childhood, I look most forward to throwing my hat in the ring through the instrumental side of things—as I do not consider myself as much of an extrovert nor do I believe that I have honed my craft yet as a lyricist/artist. Through your feedback and support, I hope to one day have the ability to further develop as a musician!
