Artist Name: D.R.G LastNumba

Tell us something about you that fans should know:

Born into music at a young age D.R.G, real name Kalomo Musokotwane always knew was destined to be a star and that music is his destiny. Kalomo was first introduced to music in 2005 where he attended music lessons for a year. His uncle then introduced him to FL studio and he began making beats. In 2010 D.R.G spent most of his time practicing and mastering his craft and started djing at local, clubs, pubs, and local events in and around the East Rand. In 2012 he released his first commercial song titled Paragons of drum alongside Ruu. The song did well locally and was later featured in a compilation album by UK-based artist D-Malice. The song debuted on all digital platforms and also debuted on Beats radio in the UK. D.R.G came to life In 2016 when he decided to embark on a rap career and dropped his debut studio ep alongside Slegza in 2017 titled The Chronicles of Dab on Soundcloud.The Ep managed to get over 75 000 streams on Soundcloud and was widely received in the East of Johannesburg. He has hosted and performed at some major music festivals across the country and has shared the stage with some of the most prominent and successful artists in the South African Music industry; Cassper Nyovest, Black Motion, Dj Shimza, Stilo Magolide, Dj Speedsta , Dj Citi Lyts, Maraza, GingerTrill, Witness The Funk, and many more. D.R.G describes his role in the music industry a the artist who brings African rhymes, flows, and melodies to create new wave music.

Where are you from and what’s the music scene like there?

I’m from the East of Johannesburg,South Africa. The music scene is vibrant and growing rapidly. Soon SA Hip Hop will take over. Shout to Blxckie, Riky Rick and Jay Fargo.

How have your life experiences influenced your music?

My life experiences is my music, music is a form of expression and my music is an expression of my life experiences. It has a huge impact on how I see things, how I approach my music like how I have to be carful what I talk about on my music cause people look up to me

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Emtee, he is one of my favorite rappers from South Africa. Riky Rick and the Migos
