My new Single "Elixirs" is song #17 from my Fifty Two Mixtape…
This is a continuous Mixtape that runs for a whole year! 52 weeks, 52 songs!
Elixirs has a late-night feel to it whilst also having some real tight lyricism.
The energy is big, and the message behind it all is even bigger.
It follows the scenes after breaking free from mental prison, into open air, freedom.
Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Wild, this is really hard for me to answer, I honestly want to say Mac Miller, but alive I would have to say, maybe Wiz Khalifa, Metro Boomin, I'd love to have DJ Clockwork work on something for me some time, Kendrick Lamar would obviously be wild, Drake, ASAP Rocky would also be a dope feature.
Where are you from and what is the music scene like?
I'm Australian, so I originate from a small beach town on the East Coast, but I also have been living in Sydney and Brisbane, Brisbane is where I really like to call my musical playground. The scene is my hometown is okay, there's rappers around that are dope, but the town itself doesn't quite have the right people or resources for it to be a huge scene or anything like that!
Brisbane is dope, there's a lot of artists there, and the city itself really supports the talent there. Dope radio stations and dope venues.
How have your life experiences influenced your music?
My entire life has been music ever since a young age. I actually grew up quite sick, so I had a lot of time to myself and didn't go to school a whole lot, so I got into music.
I originally started by playing electric guitar, then got into some acoustic later on, but around the age of 16 I started getting into Hip-Hop. I've been rapping non-stop since I started, I instantly fell in love.
The process I have been through both in life, and through music, have really always gone so hand in hand and I honestly owe my life to music, and I always try to represent that realness of connection and commitment through all of my music.
A great deal of love is inside of every track, no matter the subject I'm speaking on.
