Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I’m Cortez McKenzie from Aurora Colorado and I’m 21 years old. Just started rapping this year , and just recently starting dropping my music on SoundCloud and have gotten some good views within the first month. I’ve been working my ass off and promoting my music immensely.
If you could reach any goal in 2021, what would it be?
I just want my music to be heard by a large range of people and inspire them that they can do it too. I don’t even want the fame. I just want to know that I brightened someone day or made them do something they’ve always wanted to do.
What is your greatest source of inspiration?
My mom inspires me the most, because she didn’t have it the greatest growing up and now I wanted do my best so they we don’t have to worry about anything every again.
How have your life experiences influenced your music?
A lot actually most of my songs are all from the heart and real shit that I’ve gone through.
