Who are you?
The way that I would describe myself as an artist is that I create music that makes people want to stay alive. My goal is to make music that makes people know that they're not alone, that they are strong enough to tackle any debilitating issue that they may be facing, and to know that somebody loves them and is rooting for them. I remember very vividly going through severe bouts of depression and self-harm with nobody around me to help so, I create music to hopefully ensure that somebody else doesn't have to live through what I already survived through.
Where are you from?
I am born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. The music scene here is centered heavily around folk and bluegrass music so, paving a path for more modernized version of music has definitely been a challenge. The underground scene for hip-hop is incredibly extensive here which I feel is an amazing thing – we have so many talented musicians that are floating beneath the surface of public listening that simply attending an underground show, you will find so much new music that you had no idea was even being made.
